2015 AWARDS

 We , as a detachment, have worked very hard to show our commitment to our local veterans and the Lehigh Valley community.  The album below shows all of the awards and commendations we received for the year 2015. Good work marines, you make my job that much easier with all of your efforts.

  • Distinguished Citizen Award (Silver) – To Jason M. Smith, "In appreciation and gratitude for meritorious service in the interests of the United States of America, the United States Marine Corps, the Marine Corps League and the Marine Corps League of Pennsylvania."

  • Distinguished Citizen Award (Silver) – To Howard Schaeffer, "In appreciation and gratitude for meritorious service in the interests of the United States of America, the United States Marine Corps, the Marine Corps League and the Marine Corps League of Pennsylvania."

  • Certificate of Participation – to Lehigh Valley Detachment 296 for entering “The Sitrep” in the Department Newsletter Competition

  • Department Newsletter Award – a plaque was presented to Lehigh Valley Detachment 296 for “The Sitrep” winning second place at the 2015 Department Convention in State College, PA.

  • Department Newsletter Award – a plaque was presented to Jason Smith ,as the editor, for “The Sitrep” winning second place at the 2015 Department Convention in State College, PA.

  • Department Convention Streamer- a streamer was presented to the detachment for participating in the 2015 Department Convention in State College, PA

  • Membership Commendation – to Lehigh Valley Detachment 296 in appreciation and gratitude for you meritorious accomplishment in maintaining a 115.79% membership during the period of 1 June 2014 to 31 May 2015

  • 2015 Membership Award – a plaque was presented to Lehigh Valley Detachment 296 winning the 2nd place (Category 1) membership award at the Dept. of PA 70th Annual Convention in State College, PA.

  • 100% Membership Streamer- a streamer was presented to the detachment for maintaining a 100% roster
