Jason,
I am doing some research on my parents. Both were born and grew up in Allentown. My mother Jean Evelyn McDonald served in the USMC 1944/5. I found the attached article in her scrap book where she is identified as the local detachment's Adjutant. I estimated the date to be around 1946, and I was wondering if anyone could identify a more specific date she served in this position in the Lehigh Valley Detachment of the League so I can properly insert this article in her memory book? Jean was married to Warren J. McNabb (US Army) in June of 1946 in Lehigh County and she passed away in Stuart, FL on May 29, 2005.
