josh smith memorial 5k color guard
On Sunday 8/20/17 the Lehigh Valley Marine Corps League Detachment 296 provided the Color Guard for the Josh Smith Memorial 5k run held at Lone Lane Park in Upper Macungie township. The Event was organized by Keystone Warriors. - Sgt At Arms Anthony Reed
Our Color Guard performed, with honor, at the “Josh Smith Memorial 5K/1 mile race”. A yearly event that honors this veteran, by helping other PA veterans that were wounded on or after 9/11. Nancy Smith is a Gold Star mother, and does a great job putting on this event. Detachment member, Bob Longenberger, was the honored guest at this event. He brought with him his WWII artifacts for display, as well as his dancing feet, that impressed the ladies. I had the privilege of representing Keystone Warriors at this event, and will be bringing to the detachment more events of this type.
